Gen Eiji Kimizuka, Joint Task Force Tohoku commander, plant a dogwood tree to symbolize the ongoing friendship between Japan and the U.S., Sendai, Japan, April 7, 2011. Kimizuka and Timberlake were participating in a ceremony to commemorate the transfer of authority within the U.S. Forces, during Operation Tomodachi, from the Marine Corps to the Army.
