Cpl. Justin Little and Lance Cpl. Lars Miles conduct a live-fire shoot with the M249 squad automatic weapon during Exercise Roaring Lion in the Central Training Area Sept. 22. The exercise was designed to prepare the Marines for combat convoy operations in Afghanistan. Little and Miles are motor transport operators with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
