Assault amphibious vehicle crew members instruct Pfc. Nathan E. Craig, center, on how to operate an AAV Jan. 24 in the North Fuji Maneuver Area at Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji on mainland Japan. Marines with Combat Assault Battalion provided artillerymen the opportunity to experience the capabilities of AAVs firsthand. Craig is a motor transport operator with 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The AAV crew members are with CAB, 3rd Marine Division.
