Marines patiently wait for a bite as the sun rises June 9 in the East China Sea during the 9th annual Sam’s Cup International Billfish Tournament off the coast of Okinawa. The tournament officials award the teams for the heaviest fish and the heaviest total catches with a trophy and bragging rights for the year. The Marines are with 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
