Unexploded ordnance (UXO) is disposed of on Ie Shima Training Facility (ISTF), Okinawa, Japan, April 6, 2021. Over the past five years, ordnance has been collected on Iejima and stored away. At the request of the Ie Village office mayor, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and Marine Corps Installations Pacific explosive ordnance disposal technicians conducted combined UXO disposal operations to destroy the collected ordnance.
