U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Adam Montez, a desk sergeant with Provost Marshal’s Office, Camp Schwab, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, aims his notional weapon during a simulated missile strike for Exercise Constant Vigilance on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 21, 2021. Following a simulated missile strike, Marines with MCIPAC and local emergency services conducted tactical casualty care and medical evacuation procedures, chemical radiological and nuclear containment efforts, and air transportation to simulate an emergency environment and practice response measures. Constant Vigilance is an island-wide force protection condition evaluation and crisis response to validate regional, installation, camp, and tenant anti-terrorism and mission assurance plans and policies.
