U.S. Marines with Security Guard Force, Camp Courtney, inspect an oncoming vehicle during Operation Constant Vigilance on Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 19, 2021. After a visual confirmation of a simulated vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, SGF and Explosive Ordnance Disposal, with Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, conducted response measures to include detainee handling, EOD robotics techniques, and vehicle inspection procedures. Constant Vigilance is an island-wide force protection condition evaluation and crisis response to validate regional, installation, camp, and tenant antiterrorism and mission assurance plans and policies.
