Major Eric Fleegle was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and commissioned a Second Lieutenant in July 2009. After graduating from The Basic School and the Logistics Officers Course, he served with 3d Battalion, 6th Marines. During this assignment, he deployed from June to December 2011 as a member of an Afghan Nation Army Advisor Team in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. Upon his return, he served as the Assistant Logistics Officer and deployed to Japan as part of the Unit Deployment Program from January to July of 2013.
Major Fleegle transferred to Logistics Operations School, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Johnson, NC in October 2013. During this tour he served as the Advance Ground Transportation Section Officer in Charge and a Class Advisor for mutilple Logistics Officer Courses.
In July of 2016, Major Fleegle checked into Combat Logistics Battalion 3, where he took over as the Headqaurters and Service Company Commander. In May of 2017, Major Fleegle executed a Temporary Additional Duty to Camp Fuji, Japan where he served as the Installation Logistics Officer until November 2017. Upon returning, Major Fleegle took over as the Transportation Services Company Commander through July 2019.
He received orders to 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB) where he served as an Logistics Planner and G-4 Operations Officer from August 2019 to July 2022. During this tour, he deployed with the MEB to participate in multinational exercises in Norway and the Baltic Sea Region, and with TASK FORCE NORTHEAST to Massachusetts as part of the DOD response to the COVID-19 pandemic in support of FEMA.
Next, he checked into Marine Aircraft Group-29 in July of 2022 where he remained the Logistics Department Head for the duration of his tour until he transferred to his current assignment as the Camp Mujuk Executive Officer in July 2024.
Major Fleegle graduated from Stevenson University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Adminstration and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Webster University. He is married to the former Breanna Stiff and has 3 children, Parker, Lucy and Grady.
