1st Lt. Stephen C. Horn participates in a basic swim qualification course May 20 at Camp Hansen during a three-day field training exercise. The basic course tests Marines’ skills in the water to include treading water for four minutes, swimming 25 meters with and without a pack, and removing all equipment while under water within 10 seconds. Approximately 60 staff noncommissioned officers and officers with 3rd Marine Logistics Group completed a variety of annual training requirements during the exercise that also included gas chamber and small-arms weapons qualifications.
