Lance Cpl. Jorge A. The event provided service members and Japanese college students the chance to build confidence in their communication, and start new friendships. Southern Frontier is a bilateral exercise conducted between the U.S. Marine Corps and the Australian Defence Force in order to develop greater interoperability and a seamless response to regional crises.
