Colonel William Doctor, Jr. serves as the Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Installation Camp Mujuk in Pohang, Republic of Korea. He was born in Germany in 1969. He was raised in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Andress High School in 1987. He attended the University of Washington and completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) on 4 April 1997.
Colonel Doctor is a graduate of The Basic School at Camp Barrett in Quantico, Virginia, the Financial Management Officer Course at Camp Johnson in Jacksonville, North Carolina, U.S. Navy and USMC Practical Comptrollership Courses at the Naval Postgraduate School, and the Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia. Colonel Doctor holds a Master of Military Studies Degree from USMC Command and Staff College and a Master of Strategic Studies Degree from USMC War College.
Colonel Doctor’s command & leadership assignments have included: Commander, Marine Corps Element, United States Central Command; Commanding Officer, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion (RTBN), Recruit Training Regiment (RTR), Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego; Company Commander, Service Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3D Marine Logistics Group (MLG), Okinawa, Japan; Executive Officer, 1st RTBN, RTR, MCRD, San Diego; Company Commander, Company B, 1st RTBN, RTR, MCRD, San Diego; Series Commander, Company D, 1st RTBN, RTR, MCRD, San Diego.
Col Doctor deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2008 and served as Executive Officer, Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Operations Integration Center, C3, Multi-National Corps-Iraq.

Colonel Doctor was awarded the Basic Parachutist breast insignia in November 2001. His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit x 2, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal x 4, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
