U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Charles Butrico, defense council with Legal Services Support Section, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, orders a meal from a food truck during the opening day of the Mobile Feeding Pilot Program at the Foster Community Center, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 4, 2023. To boost the quality of life for service members in the pacific region, Marines and Navy Sailors may now use their meal entitlements on the Chef Shack and La Cocina Marine Corps Community Services food trucks instead of mess halls by showing their military ID cards. The program is currently only available on Camp Foster, however Food Service Operations plans to expand their outreach to every Marine Corps installation in the Pacific.
